As part of its annual Program for 2013, the Free Zones Council participated in the Medical Devices trade show MD&M East, which took place during from June 18th – 20th, 2013, at the Philadelphia Convention Center.
The institution coordinated a country pavilion, in which information on the benefits and incentives for new investments offered by the free zones in the Dominican Republic, under the free zone regime were offered, as well as information on the different industrial parks, were provides to all visitors.
Representatives from Las Americas Industrial Park, La Romana Free Zones and Santiago Free Zone Corporation were also present at the event, and participated in various meetings with some of the participating companies.
MD&M East is held annually, with the participation of more than 900 services providers and manufacturing of medical devices. During this event, the latest technologies and advances in the electronics, plastics, disposables, materials and medical equipment and components are showcased. The show is attended by some 7,000 buyers from around the world. Some of the companies participating as exhibitors included: Ecolab-Microtek, Metrix, DeRoyal, Medsorb Dominicana, Covidien, BBraun, among others that have some manufacturing operations in our country.
